The team at Herts Independent Social Support (HertsISS) believe that everyone should have the chance to integrate into society, enjoying real activities in the real community.  The service we offer provides social interaction for people with moderate to severe mental health problems while following a recovery model promoting a culture of self-reliance and independence.

 

Our unique approach and flexibility enable us to facilitate more diverse, engaging and exciting activities and we will support our service users to participate in their chosen activities whilst encouraging them to expand their horizons to fully use mainstream activities. Our team of support workers have extensive experience and training and we are all committed to the values of the recovery model, treating people as individuals without defining them by their illness or disability.

 

We no longer work with referrals Hertfordshire County Council but still work closely with Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.  We are based in Stevenage and cover Letchworth, Hitchin and Stevenage, although are happy to work in other areas of the county.
